CV ANNETTE ERNST

Studied German literature, Romance languages, Theatre and Film in Frankfurt and Paris, while presenting the weather forecast on TV in the state of Hesse. Wrote a story about two lesbian water policewomen who want to have children at the filmschool HFF in Munich. Won the Adolf Grimme Award with her first feature film “Kiss and Run”.

Founded with friends STOKED FILM in 2003. Since then has made more than 15 award-winning feature and documentary films. Among them “My first friend, mother and I”, nominated for the Grimme Award and sold all over the world. With “Deutsch-Les Landes” in 2018 directed an (German-French) international series.

  • In 2014 founded with colleagues Pro Quote Directing.
  • Since 2015 occasional lecturer at the HfG Offenbach and iSFF Berlin 
  • From 2014-2016 part of the screenplay commission of the FFA.
  • From 2016 – 2021 member in the film jury of Hessen-Film.
